Our commitment to crafting treats that are as delightful as they are healthy remains unwavering. Each cookie and frozen treat are made using only the finest ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers across North America. Our treats are egg free, corn free, gluten free, grain free, soy free, sugar free and have no additives or preservatives. We take pride in offering allergen and preservative-free delights that keep tails wagging and taste buds begging for more.
As we continue to leave our paw prints across Chicagoland, we are grateful for the support and love we’ve received from dog owners like YOU. Donna Santucci, founder and owner of Fido to go!®, has been in the pet industry for almost two decades. A certified canine and feline groomer, Donna is a graduate of the Academy of Dog & Cat Grooming Arts. She furthered her education with training in dermatological techniques and pet nutrition, and was a member of the NCGIA (National Cat Groomers Institute of America) for many years.
Wanting to feed her own dog, Maddie, treats that were allergen-free and wholesome, without additives, preservatives and sugars. Donna began developing a wide range of recipes that fit the bill. Maddie loved them! Soon, Donna was baking and supplying treats for the pets of family and friends.
Where It Began…
With the increasing demand for Donna’s great-tasting collection of gluten, grain, allergen-free baked dog treats, she considered opening a store which could combine her grooming business and her healthy, handmade pet treats.
Then one day in 2008, as she heard an ice cream truck stop at the beach, the concept for a mobile doggie treat food truck was born! Donna laughed at herself as she thought of the idea, put it on the back burner and then one day, a friend called up in 2010 and said, let’s do it! They researched and developed Donna’s concept and the hard work began. Much harder than we ever imagined. Her friend left the company a few months later and Donna went solo. To this day, Donna laughs at herself and can’t believe her concept worked. This is a good hard lesson that there’s no such thing as a dumb idea. With passion and hard labor, any concept will work.
Fido to go!® made its debut at the Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago’s “Bark In The Park” in the Spring of 2011. Fido to go!® is the world’s first doggie treat truck visiting parks, festivals and neighborhoods all over Chicago.
Organizations & Causes
Fido to go!® is a firm believer in supporting charitable causes that help animals in need such as Anti-Cruelty & PAWS Chicago, Disabled Dogs, Veterans, rescue organizations, senior pets, CPD K-9 Unit and Hurricane victims just to name a few.
We no longer advertise and promote our donations as we feel that giving should be strictly from the heart and not for the promotion or publicity of Fido to go!®.
